This miniseries is an adaptation of the eponymous novel by Stephen E. Ambrose, published in 1992. Telling the exploits of the soldiers of the “Easy Company” 101st Airborn Division, the series recalls various campaigns of the Second World War, particularly the siege of Bastogne. All the facts described are real parts of history, as well as the characters. The expression “band of brothers” reveals the spirit of camaraderie and brotherhood of the American soldiers of Easy Company. They stayed together from the beginning of training in 1942 until the war’s end. They were later reunited for the production of the series in 2000.
